About Me

Simon Goldstein

A professional photographer with many years experience, having started my career back in the 1980’s, working with an array of London photographers followed by going freelance as an editorial and corporate photographer.

I have travelled through time from film to the digital age, photographing in a style that I would best describe as quirky, fun and hopefully original, seeing the world in both black and white, and full blown colour, dependant on the subject.

As a qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers , abiding by their strict rules of conduct, I am available on commission, so if you like what you see, then get in touch.

ROBERT MAPPLETHORPE

“I’m looking for the unexpected. I’m looking for things I’ve never seen before.”

ANSELL ADAMS

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”

ROBERT FRANK

When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice.

ELLIOTT ERWITT

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
